June 2025 Price Increase
- When will the Huply VIP subscription price increase affect me?
Starting from June 26th, 2025, our monthly Huply VIP subscription (including BackThen) will increase as follows, depending on your local currency:
- From £3.99 to £4.99 (UK)
- From €4.49 to €5.99 (EUR)
- From $4.99 to $6.49 (US)
Other currencies may vary depending on local exchange rates and taxation.
If your subscription renews on or before June 25th, you'll pay the current price. The adjustment will only apply to renewals on or after June 26th.
- Why are you increasing the monthly cost of the Huply VIP subscription?
Our combined Huply and BackThen VIP subscription has remained unchanged since launch in April 2020. This small inflation-based adjustment allows us to continue developing and making even more memory magic for you.
- Do I need to do anything to accept the updated price?
In most countries, if you subscribe through Apple or Google, they are able to apply the updates automatically with no action required from you if you wish to continue.
However, depending on the platform you subscribe through, if you are registered in one of the countries below you will be required to take action and accept the price change:
Google Android: Austria, Germany, Poland, Romania, South Korea
Apple iOS: Romania, South Korea
The best advice is to look out for notifications from Apple for all iOS subscriptions, and Google if you subscribed originally through Android, and follow their instructions.
- I've just joined VIP. Does the new price increase apply to me?
Yes. While we understand the timing isn't ideal if you've recently joined, this adjustment applies to all subscribers from June 26th, 2025. This is our first price change in 5 years and directly reflects inflation during that period.
For new subscribers joining via our Google Android app, the new price is immediate for VIP subscriptions from May 22nd, 2025.
- Do you plan to increase prices regularly now?
We don't anticipate further price adjustments in the immediate future. This is our first change since launching in 2020, and we've made this decision carefully to reflect 5 years of inflation. We're committed to providing excellent value and will always give our families plenty of advance notice of any future changes.
- Will my current discounts or promotions still apply?
Yes. Any existing discounts or promotional rates you're currently receiving will continue to apply.
- What happens if I decide to cancel my subscription?
We'd be sad to see you go. If you choose to cancel, you’ll no longer be able to add new content or export your memories after the last day of your subscription. Friends and family will no longer be able to access your pet’s story. You can easily resubscribe at any time.
After 60 days, your account will be closed, and all information, photos & videos deleted.
- How do I cancel my subscription?
If you decide to cancel your VIP subscription, you can do so by managing your subscriptions with either Apple or Google, depending on where you originally subscribed. Subscription management guides can be found here.

- Does this affect the free version of Huply?
No, the free version of Huply with up to 1GB of storage to try before you subscribe continues to offer the same features as before.
- How does this price compare to similar services?
